No, we’ve not forgotten about the Wordtrip Podcast yet. We’ve actually got some interviews planned for later this year. The Wordtrip podcast is being re-worked, re-tooled, re-thought, and we’ll see where we end up. Until then… You should be writing.

Or a post, or a NaNoWriMo one, or anything else. The day job change in June has proven to be a hinderance to my side projects like this podcast. It hasn’t died completely, but it is in a nice coma waiting some good drugs to revive it.

We’ve been a month since a podcast, and that one was after a long break. It’s the STORY Stupid hasn’t podfadded, but as I’m working a different job, my schedule is such that I’ve not been able to work out time for recording and editing yet. There should be an episode soon as we’re going to be kicking of Novel Writing Week soon and I’ll get some content up about that. Talk to you all soon.

FYI: I’ve been out of town for a week, but right before I left I did an interview with Richard Lowry.
Richard is one of our Wordtrip writers who we’ve watched go from self-published book on the first gulf war to very successful traditional publisher book on the battle for An Nasiriyah. I’ve got to edit the interview together as I did it with skype and audio hijack pro, but it should be coming up later this week.

I recorded an episode last night and when I went to listen to it realized that I was going to have to re-do it. So tonight I’ll re-record and get up a new episode.

Just a quick thought or two from me on Card’s thoughts on Steven King. Still working on converting class notes into show notes. Forgot to mention the voicemail number in the show.

Here’s the final installment of my interview with Orson Scott Card. I probably failed in my attempt to not be too much of a fanboy when asking him about his work. There IS some good stuff here on the structure of a novel and some examples of how he thinks he didn’t get it right in some of his books.
This runs only about 10 minutes as I was eager to move on to writing questions.
